Mardi Gras, also known as Fat Tuesday, is the joyful final celebration before Ash Wednesday. It is a time to enjoy festive traditions before entering the 40 days of Lent, a season of prayer, fasting, and preparation for Easter. Traditional colors remind us of justice (purple), faith (green), and the power of God (gold).
