Music
At OLG, the music program is led by Mr. Sandoval, who meets with every class once a week providing engaging and educational music instruction. His lessons are based on the California Music Standards and focus on developing essential musical concepts and skills across grade levels.
Mr. Sandoval’s teaching is also culturally enriching as he introduces students to a wide variety of musical styles, traditions, and instruments from around the world. Through this global approach, students gain a broader appreciation for music and the diverse cultures that create it.
In addition to weekly instruction, Mr. Sandoval directs the school choir and leads them during schoolwide Masses, helping to make our liturgical celebrations more meaningful. His passion and dedication inspire a love for music while supporting both the artistic and spiritual growth of our students.
The Our Lady of Guadalupe School Choir is open to students in grades three to eight. Choir practices are held once a week after school when OLG’s after school clubs are in session. The school choir sings at our weekly schoolwide Masses and leads during prayer services and other seasonal celebrations.
